Description:
During Tet 2004, I returned to Vietnam for the first time in over 35 years. I served 2 tours in Vietnam: MSTSO Saigon 66-67, USS Newport News CA-148 (Thunder) 67-68. I intended that this third trip be with a quiet mind and an open heart. The website has 600+ photos taken on the trip, including the laying of 2 wreaths in the Gulf of Tonkin. It also has research results done in preparation, especially regarding Thunder's combat action. -Carl W. Cole
